One of the most talked-about sales on the first day of the two-day Nederburg Auction currently underway (September 3 and 4) at Paarl was the case of six bottles of Nederburg Port 1964 that fetched R62 000.00, nearly 18 times the reserve price of R 3 500.00.
Each of the 750ml bottles of the fortified wine, made from Shiraz grapes, went for the equivalent R10 333.33, bought by a representative from Next International Nigeria Limited.
