Please note that several wine catalogue DATA downloads recently might have prevented you from viewing the detailed breakdown of your wine collection based on Region, Producer and Style. We have resolved the bug in the latest wine catalogue DATA export.

Australians buying less locally produced wine | Friday, 16 January 2009
An article on Wine.co.za talks about Australians buying 2.2 per cent less locally produced wine than last year.

"In bottled wine sale terms, imports have been making greater penetration, particularly New Zealand sauvignon blanc and that has been predating the sale particularly of Australian chardonnay. So there‘s a fashion issue there I think," Mark McKenzie.

2009 Wine grape harvest - smaller than in 2008 | Wednesday, 17 December 2008
Wine.co.za talks about a decrease of 7 per cent on the 2008 crop.

"Estimates indicate that the biggest decrease is likely to occur in the Orange River region (20 per cent), mainly due to frost and hail damage, but also as a result of low Sultana yields, and in the Worcester region (8 per cent)"
